Geri Yin

Vice President, GRE&T Centre (Green Energy and Technology Centre), Alectra Inc.

Geri is a recognized thought leader with more than 25 years of experience in the energy sector. As Vice President of the GRE&T Centre, the innovation hub at Alectra Utilities, she leads strategic innovation and ecosystem partnerships that advance the development and adoption of emerging sustainable energy solutions. Under her leadership, the GRE&T Centre has delivered numerous transformative energy initiatives and earned prestigious recognition from the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA), the Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP), Electricity Canada, and Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).

Geri is widely recognized for her expertise in utility business model transformation, grid innovation, business development, regulatory affairs, and financial and strategic planning. She has received the 2024 Clean50 Award from Delta Management, the Top 25 ESG Leadership Award from the Centre for Intellectual Excellence, and the 2025 Outstanding Women Award from the Markham, Richmond Hill & Vaughan Chinese Business Association. She is actively engaged in industry associations and serves as a Board Member and Vice Chair of the National Electricity Roundtable.

Before leading the GRE&T Centre, Geri served as Director of Business Development and Sales at Alectra Energy Solutions, where she led business strategy development, the economic evaluation of commercial investments, and stakeholder engagement initiatives. Earlier in her career, she held senior management roles at Hydro One and Scotia Capital, leading a broad range of business operations and strategic initiatives across the energy and financial sectors.
