Jeff Mocha
Chief Operations and Electrification Officer, OEC
As the Chief Operations and Electrification Officer, part of Jeff’s mandate is to deliver safe and reliable electricity to more than 80,000 individuals, families and businesses in the Town of Oakville. Alongside the organization’s leading-edge engineering, customer service and operations groups, Jeff is focused on making Oakville Hydro one of the safest, most automated and reliable electricity distribution networks in Canada.
Jeff is Vice-Chair of Electricity Canada’s Distribution Council, providing strategic guidance and fostering collective action on issues of tactical significance to distribution companies in Canada. He is the Upper Canada District Chair for the Electricity Distributors Association in Ontario, providing analysis, networking opportunities, and a collective voice on issues vital to member business success. Jeff is a Board Member of the National Electricity Roundtable (NER), engaging with federal ministries to advance dialogue on the Canadian electric power industry. Jeff is also a Cabinet Member for United Way Golden Horseshoe, contributing leadership and expertise to help drive a positive impact across the Golden Horseshoe region.
Prior to his current position Jeff led the engineering service businesses and corporate technology team to strategically align with the fast pace of change, the challenges of new and disruptive technologies, and the ongoing transformation of the energy sector.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, and an EMBA graduate from the Ivey Business School at Western University.
